A 57-year-old woman died last night on a Delta flight from Lagos, Nigeria to Atlanta. The woman apparently passed away while taking a nap. Atlanta police and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) are investigating the death.

The Defense Department has issued its final review of recommendations issued by an independent panel in response to the Fort Hood massacre of November 5th last year.
The final recommendations document of the Fort Hood follow-on review can be found on the DOD website here.
Among the areas the Pentagon is looking to improve are educating commanders about symptoms of workplace violence, boosting on-base emergency response capabilities, improving law enforcement and force protection information sharing with partner agencies, and integrating force protection policy.

Someone made a hoax hijacking threat against an American Airlines flight leaving San Francisco on Thursday morning. The plane was getting ready to takeoff for New York when the TSA ordered it to a remote part of the runway so that law enforcement could sweep the plane and interview all the passengers.
While authorities have deemed the threat "non-credible" an investigation is underway to find the person responsible for the hoax.
