Feds Bust Student Visa Fraud Scam

United States — A California man was arrested and charged Monday with conspiracy for allegedly operating a visa fraud scheme involving dozens of Middle Eastern students enrolled at several California colleges and junior colleges, and three California State University campuses.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) also arrested 16 of the foreign students linked to the investigation. According to ICE, six were taken into custody on criminal charges for committing visa fraud. And the others were arrested on administrative immigration violations and will be placed in removal proceedings.

"U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents said the demand for [the suspect's] services was so great that he hired staff, including a blond woman who they believe posed as an Middle Eastern man."
