Pakistan Charges Five Americans with Terror Offenses
Editor's summary:
Pakistan — Pakistani authorities have indicted five American citizens on terrorism-related charges in Sargodha.
The five Virginia men were detained last December during an anti-terror raid on the home of a local leader of the outlawed group, Jaish-e-Muhammad.
These Americans are all Muslims in their 20s. Their families went to the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), a US Muslim civil rights group, to report them missing from their homes in November 2009. CAIR then went to the FBI with a video from the men that has been described as a "farewell" message.
