Irish Paramilitary Groups Disarm

United Kingdom — On Monday two Irish republican paramilitary organizations, the Official IRA and INLA, announced that they have disarmed after decades of bloody conflict in Northern Ireland.
From BBC:
"The timing of the announcements...is thought to be linked to the expiry on Tuesday of legislation which allows illegal groups to decommission weapons without fear of prosecution."
