FBI Director Discusses Terrorism and Cyber Threats
Editor's summary:
United States — During his keynote address at the annual RSA computer security conference in San Francisco Thursday, FBI Director Robert Mueller discussed cyber threats to America and how the FBI is working with partners around the globe to tackle them. One of the main subjects of the Director's remarks was how foreign terrorist organizations, including al-Qaeda, are escalating their online attacks against the U.S.
From FBI:
"The Director told the crowd of cyber professionals that al Qaeda and other extremists “have shown a clear interest in pursuing hacking skills. And they will either train their own recruits or hire outsiders, with an eye toward combining physical attacks with cyber attacks.”"
